FORGING BETTER WEBSITES

Privacy Policy.

Effective October 1, 2026. What this website collects, why, and what happens to it.

01 Who I Am

Titan WebSmith is a web design, development and hosting business run by Sean Granan in Northeastern Pennsylvania. When this policy says "I" or "me", it means Sean and Titan WebSmith. Questions about your information go to support@titanwebsmith.com.

02 What I Collect

  • Project briefs. When you send the form on the Contact page, I receive what you enter: your name and email address, and anything else you choose to share, such as your business name, phone number, current website, and your answers about the project, features, content, budget and timing. I also record that you agreed I may contact you about the project.
  • Sent automatically with a brief. Your IP address, your browser type, the page the brief was sent from, and the date and time. These are used to stop spam and abuse.
  • Emails you send me. If you email me directly, I have whatever you include in that message.
  • Client portal. If we work together, you get a private account in the client portal. It holds your name, email and business name, the files you upload, and a record of sign-ins, uploads and downloads. Login details you send through the portal are encrypted on your device before they're sent, and only I can unlock them.
  • Accepting a proposal. When you accept a proposal online, I record your name, email address, the date and time, your IP address and browser, and a copy of the exact proposal you accepted, as the record of our agreement.
  • Browsing the site. I don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Like most web servers, the server that runs this site keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

03 How I Use It

I use your information to read and answer your brief, talk through your project, and prepare a proposal. If we work together, I use it to do the work, communicate with you and keep business records. IP and browser details are used to protect the site from spam.

When you accept a proposal, your card is used only for the payments you agreed to: any amount due when you accept, the launch balance when your site goes live, and hosting until you cancel.

I don't add you to a mailing list, and I don't sell, rent or trade your information.

04 Who Else Is Involved

A few service providers handle information on my behalf, only to run this website, my email and payments:

  • Web hosting. The website and the database where briefs are stored run on a hosted server.
  • Email. Email for titanwebsmith.com is provided by IONOS. Brief notifications, confirmations and our conversations pass through and are stored in that mailbox.
  • Payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches this website; Stripe keeps the card on file for the charges you authorized. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

05 Cookies

This website doesn't set cookies for visitors. If you sign in to the client portal, a sign-in cookie keeps you signed in until you sign out. On a proposal's payment form, Stripe sets its own cookies to help prevent fraud. Site administrators also use sign-in cookies.

06 How Long I Keep It

If a brief doesn't turn into a project, I delete it within two years of our last contact. If we do work together, I keep it with the project's records for as long as the work continues and as long as needed for tax and legal records afterward. You can ask me to delete your information sooner at any time.

Files in the client portal are kept while we work together and deleted when you ask. Login details sent through the portal are deleted automatically after 30 days, or sooner when either of us deletes them. Proposal acceptance and payment records are kept as long as needed for tax and legal records.

07 Your Choices

Wherever you live, you can ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email support@titanwebsmith.com and I'll respond within 30 days.

08 Keeping It Safe

The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only I can see the briefs, files and login details you send. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't send passwords, payment details or your customers' data through the contact form or by email. For logins, use the secure form in the client portal.

Files uploaded to the client portal are stored outside the public website and scanned for viruses before anyone can open them. Login details are encrypted before they leave your device.

09 Children

This website is meant for adults and businesses. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.

10 Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
